The Federal Aviation Authority is basically an agency of the United States Department of Transportation. The FAA has got the power to check and regulate the all the fields of civil aviation in the US. In 1967 after becoming a part of the United States Transportation Department the agency derived its present name. As the aviation industry is rapidly expanding, the mechanics are being trained skillfully so that they can survey the technical aspects of the machines and keep them well maintained. the mechanics have to pass the FAA exam in order to acquire a license in this technical field.

The training schools have been appointed the task of grooming the students in a much advanced scale. Some of the technical aspects covered by these training schools are braking system, then they are imparted knowledge on the engines of the machines. It is advisable to take training from a reputed school as they provide good standard of learning and also provide a higher qualification in the technical fields which enables them to gain decent jobs and they become a very successful mechanic in the near future. The condition is suc that if the aspirants do not pass the FAA exam they are not granted the license and so they lose the chance of getting a good job and has to fend for themselves in some other fields. This licensing system is also unfair in a way because it judges the potentialities of the students through this one written test only. Some of the crucial factors also results in the failing of the students as in some of the cases even the trainer is not highly skilled so they are less informative and they fail to impart proper training.

Some of the basic roles of the FAA are the commercial space transportation system of the US, it has also got the role of developing the civil aeronautics, it also carries out programs to check the noises made by the aircrafts, civil aviation is also regulated by them in order to provide safety and so on. The FAA also provides certification to the new aircrafts. The drawback is that it judges the potential of the students only through a written test but the important aspect is that those who passes the exams are also awarded various prizes by the FAA itself and also guarantees a decent job.

Nowadays the aircrafts are gaining in momentum so the FAA mechanic training helps to provide a decent technical knowledge to the mechanics. This regulation of licensing is also important in a way as it helps to make the mechanics more technically skilled which helps in the avoidance of mishaps and accidents caused due to the technical faults. Since the aircrafts are most frequently used in these days it should be technically sound and if there is no licensing system then there would be no checks on the mechanics and they would not be able to flourish in their respective field.

Thus, the FAA is a licensing system that helps in regulating all the aspects of the civil aviation and the FAA gained momentum after being a part of the US transport system. The students of the training schools are expected to pass the FAA exams in order to get the desired license. After getting the license they are considered to be perfect in the technical field and so jobs are easily available to them in their respective area. Thus, the FAA exams seals the fate of these mechanics once they come out with flying colors there is no stopping them in gaining jobs with a decent pay scale.
